Premier League Preview – Hull City

Palace were out ‘Pulised‘ as the former Eagles boss came back to haunt his former club.

His new West Bromwich Albion side left South London with a vital win in their fight for survival. Alan Pardew could not fault his team who were unable to find a the back of the net for the first time since early March.

Another former Eagles boss returns to Selhurst Park this weekend as Steve Bruce brings his relegation threatened side to SE25. Pardew’s men will look to finish the season on a high note with a difficult run of games approaching with only three home games left of this campaign.

The Eagles will be looking for revenge having lost the reverse fixture at the KC stadium 2-0 back in November.

Team News

Crystal Palace

South Korean Chung Yong-Lee could finally make his first team debut if only from the bench as he played the full ninety minutes for the U21s in midweek. Jordon Mutch may be available again. It is still not clear on when Marouane Chamakh may return.

Hull City

Nikica Jelavic will miss the rest of the season (ankle) whilst midfielders Gaston Ramirez (hamstring) and Robert Snodgrass (knee) are sidelined. Captain Curtis Davies is also set to miss this one.

One To Watch

Mohammed Diame (Senegal)

The Senegalese midfielder was Hull City’s star man since his £3.5m switch from West Ham United in the summer. The Tigers may not have found themselves in the trouble they are in had a knee injury not kept him out for the last four months. He scored against Palace in November and will be vital in Hull’s survival.

Form Guide

Palace lead the way of late with four wins out of the last six games. Hull in contrast have two draws to speak of and four losses. In the last six games between the two it is Palace with the upper hand having won three and two draws. At Selhurst , Palace are unbeaten in the last three.

Predictions

With the run in that Hull City face it is going to be tough to see them survive this season with teams below them picking up points. They do however have a massive game against Burnley mixed in there so you just never know. If they are going to survive then they need to address their current terrible form.
