The Eagles survived a very bizarre disallowed goal to fight back and beat a poor Spurs side in North London to secure their tenth league victory of the season.

POST GAME QUOTES
OLIVER GLASNER
“It was a satisfying evening, especially with the result and the first half performance. I wasn’t very pleased with the second half, we didn’t control the game in the way we wanted with one extra player. We gave them too many set plays and dangerous opportunities around the box, but these things can happen.
What I loved most is the reaction after we conceded the goal; it was great coming back scoring fantastic goals. But we also have to be critical that we could have done better in the second half. This is what we will work on now, consistency over the full game.”
ADAM WHARTON
“Great to get it and three points is massive. We have been on a good run of scoring in consecutive games recently, the gaffer has been mentioning it. We had a sticky patch when goals weren’t coming and now they are starting to come. It’s great for the attackers, it gives them confidence.”

TEB VERDICT
This was a performance to enjoy away from home and the fans in the away end loved every second of it.
Palace took a deserved lead only for a quite astonishing VAR decision to rule it out, and Spurs of course, went up the other end to score themselves.
It was not to last though, as the hosts conceded a penalty and their captain given his marching orders, as Ismaila Sarr despatched confidently from the spot.
That was not all for the half as Jorgen Strand Larsen got in on the act to put the Eagles into what was a deserved lead before Sarr grabbed his second in a scintillating seven minutes.
Going in at the break 3-1 up was effectively the end of the game and while Spurs tried to pull a goal back, the visitors stood firm.
This was all without the banned Maxence Lacroix, with Chris Richards, Jaydee Canvot, and Chadi Riad all excellent. That is not to mention the excellent Adam Wharton running the game with Daichi Kamada, lining up so well with Strand Larsen, Evann Guessand and Sarr.
It’s a win that gives Palace much needed breathing space heading into a free weekend before the all important Conference League games against AEK Larnaca.
