POST GAME QUOTES
OLIVER GLASNER
“Credit to the players and the team for their attitude. The pitch wasn’t really in the best condition, playing against a team who wants to show up, and I think we played a very good game in the first half.
Second half, we spoke at half-time to keep the pace high. We created many chances, unfortunately we missed a few. I think it was against a team that defends so deep. It was our best game, scoring three goals and having a clean sheet. A very good night for us.”
EDDIE NKETIAH
“Always nice to get on the score sheet, always nice to get a win. We started strong, but we are just happy to get the three points. Happy to score goals and winning games. Whether we are playing or on the bench, when we get our time, we all know we can contribute. We have to keep going and keep pushing. We have to keep believing. We want to go all the way in this competition. I am getting closer. With every minute I play I am getting more sharper.”

TEB VERDICT
No sooner had Storm Bram left Ireland battered and bruised, the Eagles brushed Shelbourne aside in a very good first half performance.
Stand out performer was Christantus Uche who we have seen fleeting glimpses from but he took his opportunity in the absence of jean-Philippe Mateta by netting his first Palace goal and assisting for the second. Yeremy Pino showed his class by adding an excellent third which ended the contest with 45 still to play. Eddie Nketiah, himself with a first half goal and assist, linked up well with Uche.
The second half was all about managing the remainder of the game, and it was not quite taking the foot off the peddle, but it gave Oliver Glasner the opportunity to rest key players. There were plenty of chances though and it was good to see Romain Esse and youth player Ben Casey take his bow for the first team.
Job done and on to the final game next week against KuPS, and a win will almost certainly secure automatic qualification for the knockout stages.
