POST GAME QUOTES
OLIVER GLASNER
“It’s a very good win against a very good team. They’re playing really nice football. In the first half it took us 15 minutes to get going but then we dominated with our physicality and scoring nice goals.
It felt like our story of the Conference League but then we scored a nice goal. We spoke about how they defend man to man and how we could attack. It was a tough game but a very good result. The performance was maybe not top, but it was okay.
We could see they were very aggressive. They pressed when they lost the ball. It took us a little bit but then we controlled the game more and more. With our set plays we could show our physicality. The penalty we got was a great run in behind and this is one of our strengths. When it’s 2-0 you always have to be aware. The game became open when they scored but our third goal was great.”
MAXENCE LACROIX
“We are really happy to give this win for the fans. How we played, people love to see it. Everyone is happy. I am a little bit tired but I’m happy to play games. This is why I play football. If I can help the team, it’s perfect for me. We are really happy. The game we lost here was sad for us but we said before we want to give the win to the fans. Everyone deserves it.”

TEB VERDICT
This was a good win for the Eagles and got them back on track in the Conference League after the blip against AEK Larnaca.
The side from the Netherlands proved to be tricky from the kick off, but Palace soon got into gear and even after a penalty miss from Jean-Philippe Mateta, they pushed on to take a two-goal lead at the break courtesy of Maxence Lacroix and Ismaila Sarr.
The visitors got themselves back into it with a goal back but no sooner had they done so, the hosts scored again thanks to a second from Sarr to ensure the win and all three points.
It gets the Eagles back up the Conference League table, and still with work to do, it is a respectable position to be in at the midway stage.
Oliver Glasner will be rightly pleased that they got this one right after the disappointment at home to Larnaca, but the opponents suited Palace with a game plan that did not include a low block.
Notable performances from that trio at the back along with Ismaila Sarr.
