There were mixed fortunes for these two clubs at Wembley last weekend, and the visitors will be smarting from losing their FA Cup semi-final.
MATCH INFORMATION
8pm kick off – 5 May 2025
Selhurst Park, Holmesdale Road, London SE25 6PU
PREVIOUS MEETING
07/10/2024 – It was a pretty dour affair last time out at Selhurst as the two sides played out a goalless draw. The closest either team went was when Morgan Gibbs-White hit the woodwork, as Forest probably went home disappointed having had more chances than the Eagles.

ONE TO WATCH
ELLIOT ANDERSON
FORMER CLUBS – Wallsend Boys Club, Newcastle United, Bristol Rovers (loan)
There were a few eyebrows raised when the 22 year old moved to Forest took place, particularly at the transfer fee but he has become an important part of the starting line-up and has shown his worth this season.
THE NUMBERS
Palace have only won 1 of the past 14 league meetings and are winless in 8 (D5, L3).
Forest have never lost in 9 Premier League encounters with Palace (W4, D5), the only opponent they have faced more than twice in the competition without losing.
Palace are winless in 4 league matches (D2, L2) but they did beat Villa in the FA Cup semi-finals last time out.
Palace are unbeaten in their past 4 home games (W3, D1).
They conceded 14 Premier League goals in April, more than any other team, and the joint-most they had ever conceded in a single month.
Palace have won just 3 of their last 24 Premier League matches played on a Monday (D9, L12). However, one of those came in their last home Monday game in May 2024 when they thrashed Manchester United 4-0.
Jean-Philippe Mateta has scored 10 goals in his last 13 Premier League appearances.
Nottingham Forest have lost 4 of their past 5 matches in all competitions.
Forest could win 10 top-flight away matches in a season for just the fourth time.
They have won 2 of their last 3 away league games in London.
Chris Wood could become the first Forest player to score 10 Premier League away goals in a season; he currently has 9.
KEY CLASH
WILL HUGHES v ELLIOT ANDERSON
Should Hughes make a start after being on the bench at Wembley, he will be up against the Forest man who has impressed since moving to the City Ground last summer. You could suggest that the style of both players is pretty similar.

TEB PREDICTION
As we know, Oliver Glasner is not big on squad rotation no matter what is at stake so it will be interesting to see how he approaches the next couple of games leading into the FA Cup Final against City. The visitors head to South London off the back of a league defeat which was the direct know on effect of their loss at Wembley last weekend. With Forest slipping down to sixth, their hopes of Champions League football have taken a hit. We see a tight game but the Eagles to celebrate last weekend with victory in the penultimate game at Selhurst.
PREDICTED SCORE: 2-1 to Palace
