TEB VERDICT

The Palace side that started this game had a very different look to it and the selection had a lot to do with a very accomplished first half which included a stunning strike from Jefferson Lerma, who scored his first for the club.

Unfortunately, the second half was very different and while the visitors equalised early on, they were held off until injury time where they scored twice to inflict perhaps an undeserved defeat on the Eagles.

There were several positives however, including the first half showing along with very good games from Adam Wharton, Daniel Munoz and Matheus Franca.

While this result keeps Roy Hodgson under pressure, there will be hope that the glimpses shown in the defeat can be taken into the next run of games which included teams in and around Palace in the table.
