With a growing list of absentees going into this fixture, Roy Hodgson shuffled his pack to put out a side that worked hard to ensure the points were shared and stem the flow of defeats.

TEB VERDICT
The London Stadium continues to be a happy venue for the Eagles as they put in a performance that was enough to take a point from the Hammers. On another day, it could have been more but this was very much a case of respect the point and move on to the game against Bournemouth at home in midweek.
There were several pleasing individual performances out on the pitch- Chris Richards did well in the defensive midfield role protecting the back line, Jordan Ayew once again proved that we struggle without him, while Michael Olise showed several glimpses of just what Palace need even if he is a little rusty. Odsonne Edouard got his goal again and led the line well while Jefferson Lerma stood up to the opposition in the absence of Cheick Doucoure.
This performance was progress following two disappointing losses in a row, but it will prove to be a valuable point if Palace can go on and take all three points in midweek before taking on Liverpool and Manchester City in consecutive weeks.
POST GAME QUOTES
ROY HODGSON
“I thought the game was pretty even. We had to survive a period in the last five minutes of the game, and in added time, when they were getting the ball into the box. They were anxious moments, but I have to accept those anxious moments are normal for us. It was important for us not to cave in and make certain we dealt with those balls into the box.
For the bulk of the game I felt we played an even game with them and showed, at times, that we have quality in this team. I think it would have been very harsh if we hadn’t got something from the game. You don’t want to lose three games in a row. I’m pleased the way the players rallied around.”
DAVID MOYES
“It was a really tight game. We got in front but gave away a horrendous goal. Sometimes you just have to see it out, but I have to say we made two or three chances which, on another day, we might have scored. It wasn’t our best point, it wasn’t our best performance, but we will take something from the game.”
