Anticipation Building

The new Premier League season is almost upon us and I am as excited as the next Palace fan to see how we fare in the top division for a third season in succession.

It has been a short summer but it has been one where the club have managed to impress many with their approach in the transfer market.

The ambition is evident when we see the likes of Scott Dann and James McArthur signing new deals to stay at the club. Players that want to play for the club and potentially be part of something special is progress in itself.

The re-signing of Norwegian international Brede Hangeland who was quoted on the official club website as saying ‘These are very exciting times at the club and I look forward to playing a part in making next year in another successful one‘ was one thing but the addition of French midfielder Yohan Cabaye was quite another.

Since then we have signed young Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford on loan for the season along with goalkeeper Alex McCarthy on a permanent deal as well as announce the shirt sponsorship deal with Mansion. There are suggestions of more to come before the season kicks off for us at newly promoted Norwich City in little over a weeks time.

This will be our fourth season covering Palace and it has been quite a period. While the club has gone from strength to strength, our profile has grown immensely, far more than I ever imagined in fact.

Our writing team for the 2015/16 season is, in my opinion, the best that I have assembled. We will continue with our commitment of bringing you at least one new article on the site a day throughout the season including all our favourite features.

There will be our usual match previews, reviews, opposition views, interviews and opinion pieces along with our continued coverage of the Crystal Palace Ladies.

New for this season we have Dundee fan Danny Smith with regular updates from Dens Park in a bid to continue the legacy of the Julian Speroni testimonial, while West Bromwich Albion fan Dan Watts joins us to provide a weekly look at the Premier League.

They both join a team of writers that is an excellent mixture of those that I have encouraged to stick around along with a few new faces.

Our involvement will go further than TEB once again this season as we will continue our link up with the excellent EPL Roundtable podcast and Palace Fan TV. I am also very pleased to confirm that I will be contributing to a weekly column for the Croydon Advertiser and joining a couple of TEB writers to produce some articles for the published FYP Fanzine.

All we ask of you is to sit back, enjoy and interact with us on social media every so often. Your feedback is value to us so if you have anything you wish to share with us please contact us either by email, tweet us, leave a comment on the site or Facebook page.
