Fans Bid Farewell To Much Loved Dena

The Palace family lost one of their own suddenly last week which was a huge shock to all that knew her.

Dena Collins was a fervent Palace fan, who always wore her colours with pride, including her nails, with Julian Speroni her favourite player by quite some distance.

In the 28th minute of the match against Manchester United on Wednesday evening, there will be a minute of applause in memory of Dena.

The family were kind enough to allow us to share a message with you ahead of the game;

“Our family is heartbroken at the loss of our beautiful Dena. We know that her Palace family share our pain. She truly was one-of-a-kind and our lives will never be the same without her. Thank you to all her friends at Selhurst who we know loved her so very much.”

Rest in peace, Dena.

  1. Myself and my family are so shocked and saddened by this. She was my youngest daughters first teacher at primary school, such a lovely young lady and teacher. She gave my daughter some “worry dolls” she brought back from a trip abroad, which she still has in her bedroom. We were only speaking to her at the Year 6 leavers picnic in July, that’s the kind of person she was, she was there to see her reception class leave and wish them well in secondary school.
    RIP Miss Collins, you will be sadly missed. x
