Few players will be more important to Palace’s hopes than Adam Wharton.
The midfielder’s ability to receive possession under pressure, dictate tempo and spring attacks forward could be crucial against a City side expected to enjoy large spells of possession. If Palace are to hurt the visitors on the counter attack, much of that play is likely to flow through Wharton’s boots.
