Fulham Improving Despite Mixed Bag Of Results

The New Year kicks off with a London derby at Selhurst Park as Fulham make the short trip to South London to take on the Eagles.

Ahead of the game, we caught up with the guys at Fulham Fan News to get their thoughts on the season so far, the game itself, and much more…

TEB – How would you rate this season so far?

FFN – A mixed bag overall, but recent results have meant things are not looking as bad as they were not so long ago.

TEB – Have there been any standout results for Fulham this campaign?

FFN – Beating Brentford has been our standout result. The City home game was a notable one despite losing. We do not tend to have standout games in a season, the team tend to just get the job done.

TEB – Fulham have a few players away at AFCON currently. Has this affected the side much so far? Do you feel it will hinder getting results long term?

FFN – I have been surprised how much it has not affected us, as I did fear the worst after Burnley away. The only issue would be injuries to current key players exposing us.

TEB – Is there an area of the squad which needs improvement in January?

FFN – Fulham need another striker along with some depth in midfield. A replacement for Adama Traore would not go amiss either.

TEB – Any specific transfer rumours for Fulham doing the rounds?

FFN – Bring me Oscar Bobb from City.

TEB – What are your thoughts on Palace so far this season as we reach the halfway point?

FFN – I expected more from Palace after their strong start, perhaps rumours around the future of Oliver Glasner have affected performances.

TEB – Have ambitions changed from the start of the season following results so far?

FFN – A top half finish would be considered a great season considering the injuries we have had along with a lack of signings in the summer.

TEB – Expectations for the match including final score prediction?

FFN – Palace will inevitably turnaround their recent poor form and win against Fulham, narrowly!
