An entertaining game at Craven Cottage went the visitors way thank to a powerful late header form captain Marc Guehi which sees Palace climb into the Champions League places.

POST GAME QUOTES
OLIVER GLASNER
“It was a huge performance. We were lucky when the goal was disallowed but I felt like it was more likely we would win the game. It is amazing to win and credit to the players. The spirit was there and we deserved to win.
Man of the match was Nathanial Clyne. He is 100% in every single training at 34. I told him yesterday that he would start. This performance shows his quality and his character. He was very impressive.
He knows when he has to be there. Now we are not really training 11 on 11 but we show them on videos so often. It’s difficult when you’re in a rhythm.
It felt like we had a long break because we played Sunday, Thursday, Sunday. We had two days off and it felt like we had holidays. The players had so much energy and it showed they had recovered well. We have a great medical team and great staff.”
EDDIE NKETIAH
Really tough game, Fulham are a good side. It’s nice to get the win and the goal.
I knew I would finish. I am getting back into a rhythm after a few niggles. I always back myself in the box. As long as I’m on the pitch, I can understand and produce even better performances.
Everyone is working hard. We need to keep going like that. The togetherness of the team and when you have that extra bit of motivation, it helps and we deserved the three points.”

TEB VERDICT
This Palace side have a lot of balls considering the amount of games that they are getting through at the moment.
They are not just getting through games though, they are finding a way to win and none more evident than at Craven Cottage.
It was fitting that the captain stepped up and headed home the winner late in a game where they did enough to take all three points.
The absence of Daniel Munoz saw Nathaniel Clyne roll back the years and should probably have found himself on the score sheet after missing a great chance.
The visitors had to dig in when they needed to, especially after the hosts thought they put themselves into the lead only to be thwarted by VAR.
It was by no means a perfect performance but a team that battled through to secure the heady heights of fourth spot in the Premier League ahead of an important trip to Ireland.
