It was a very predictable afternoon at the Emirates as the Eagles go four without a win as Ebere Eze scored the winner in a scrappy affair.

POST GAME QUOTES
OLIVER GLASNER
“It’s a mixture of frustration about the result and being proud of the performance, especially in first half. You cannot give Arsenal anything. It’s a silly foul and we gave them the second shot with Ebs, and we know he has a good shot.
We tried everything. It shows our progress when we are upset with losing 1-0 here. We are still missing a little bit. Mikel Arteta is doing such a great job. It’s about us being a bit better in every single phase. When you get two or three chances, you need to score.”
CHRIS RICHARDS
“It was a close game in all aspects. Arsenal are a really good team and deserved the win. I think everybody knows how Arsenal are defensively and we needed to take our chances. Set-pieces are probably their forte right now. But we went toe-to-toe with the best team in the league. We are still positive. We take today on the chin and we keep trying to improve.”

TEB VERDICT
From being unbeaten in 19, it’s now 4 without a win which is quite a contrast, but the game at the Emirates could have gone either way as both sides struggled to take complete control.
We all knew Ebere Eze would have a say in the game, and so it was as he ended up grabbing the only goal of the game.
Palace found it difficult to get going with the free-flowing football affected by the lack of final ball. There was certainly that confidence remaining with and without the ball, but it just was not their afternoon. When there were clear-cut chances created, the wrong decision was made by the player with the ball which summed up the afternoon.
Having said that, this was a fixture away from home at the current league leaders and they were taken right to the final whistle.
It is difficult to pinpoint the problem at the moment, other than Oliver Glasner and the players not getting their own way as much. That will surely return, and hopefully sooner rather than later.
Notable individual performances from Maxence Lacroix and Marc Guehi.
