ONE TO WATCH
TYLER DIBLING |
FORMER CLUBS – Axminster Town, Millwey Rise, Exeter City, Chelsea |
The young midfielder has plenty of suitors looking at picking up the Saints player in the summer as he has shown more than enough that he has something about since he first made his debut for the club August 2023. |
THE NUMBERS
Palace are vying for a fifth consecutive Premier League victory against Southampton.
Saints have lost their past 2 top-flight home games against the Eagles, as many defeats as in their first 21 such meetings (W14, D5).
Palace have not conceded an away goal since Christmas, keeping 7 consecutive clean sheets on the road in all competitions.
They have won 6 successive away games in league and cup for the first time in their history.
Home and away, the Eagles have won 5 fixtures in a row in all competitions, their best run since a similar streak ended in April 2014.
They are vying to win 4 consecutive Premier League matches for the first time since June 2020.
Ismaila Sarr has 4 goals in his last four club games in all competitions, having previously gone 10 appearances without scoring.
KEY CLASH
ISMAILA SARR v JAN BEDNAREK |
The attacking midfielder has continued to grow this season under the guidance of Oliver Glasner, and has become an important part of the Palace side. Netting an important second goal in the FA Cup win at the weekend followed by a goal line clearance shows just what he is about. |

TEB PREDICTION
After the jubilation of reaching an FA Cup semi final, it will be heads back in the game as the Eagles will be looking to continue their excellent away form against the side struggling at the bottom of the table. That certainly does not mean that it will be an easy ride on the South Coast but the visitors have an opportunity to push on in the remaining league fixtures and finish as high as possible in the Premier League. It will be interesting to see how the team cope with a change at the back for the first time in several games with Chris Richards missing out, and who will replace him.
PREDICTED SCORE: 2-0 to Palace |
