PREVIOUS MEETING

22/08/2017 – The two sides have not met each other in recent seasons, and we have to go all the way back to 2017 to find the last competitive meeting at Selhurst Park. It was an EFL Cup game which ended up being the first win in charge of Palace for Frank de Boer thanks to brace from James McArthur. Bersant Celin scored the consolation for the visitors late on.

ONE TO WATCH

LIAM DELAP
FORMER CLUBS – Derby County, Manchester City, Stoke City (loan), Preston North End (loan), Hull City (loan)
The former Manchester City academy striker has proved this season that he can hold his own in the top division and score goals which will make him hot property in the summer should Ipswich lose their Premier League status.

THE NUMBERS

Over the past 14 Premier League matchdays, only Liverpool (33) and Arsenal (29) have earned more points than Palace (27) – but only 8 of those points have come at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles have never lost a Premier League game against Ipswich (W4 D1), winning the past 4. Their most recent top-flight home match against them was a 3-0 victory in November 1994.

KEY CLASH

CHRISH RICHARDS v LIAM DELAP
The American international has put in several solid performances since coming into the Palace starting line up and will be up against a lively striker who can score goals and will provide a handful for the Palace back line who have rightly been handed plenty of plaudits this season.

TEB PREDICTION

Things are starting to become more urgent for the visitors with what will be ten games remaining in the league after this weekend. Oliver Glasner will have done his homework but the form at Selhurst has been patchy to say the least, even though the Eagles are unbeaten in their last two home games. Can they make it three? We think so, but it will certainly not be straight-forward.

PREDICTED SCORE: 2-0 to Palace
