An odd game where there were glimpses of this Palace line up but the visitors had much of the play although the hosts could have ended up with an unlikely victory.

TEB VERDICT
Oliver Glasner has quite a dilemma to try and fix after a winless start to the season. There have been plenty of glimpses but this Palace side are stuttering for some reason,
Having said that, after a game like that, Palace will be happy to take a point against a United side that should have finished some of their many chances created.
It is very difficult to put a finger on what the actual problem is. International football across the summer has had an impact on more than half of the starting line-up, but Palace are not the only side to have so many players appearing for their country.
Ultimately, this was a hard-fought point and Palace should have been playing against ten men after a shocking two footed challenge by Lisandro Martinez was only punished with a yellow card.
Eddie Nketiah continues to grow into his early Palace career, Ismaila Sarr cannot be far off a start as he was a real threat off the bench while Dean Henderson performed heroics to keep a clean sheet and secure the point.
POST GAME QUOTES
OLIVER GLASNER
“Dean Henderson kept us alive and in the first half we have never played like this.
I don’t talk about tactics. We played without courage in and out of possession. Very passive and this is how we don’t want to play, but it happened. The chance at the end of the first half gave us some confidence – we spoke very honestly at half-time.
You can always lose a game, but when you lose it, you lose it with how we played in the second half. Second half was much better, we could’ve won the game, but honestly it was a bit too much today. We have to be critical of us when we play like first half it makes no sense to play like this.”
ERIC TEN HAAG
“When we don’t win, I’m not content. We should have won. I think first half, we ate them alive. Then in the second half, it was more in the balance but first half, we should have scored one or two goals.
We played very good. Total control of the game. In and out of possession, I think we played very good. The only thing was in the box, that is where the game is always decided. We should be more clinical there.”
