Cooper Not The Future For Foxes But Fans Have To Back Him

We return to Selhurst this week with a freshened up squad and the hope that the Eagles will get their first victory of the season.

Standing in their way is newly promoted Leicester City who will include former Palace player Jordan Ayew. Ahead of the game, we have a chat this week with the guys at Fosse Hub to find out how Foxes fans are feeling.

TEB – How was pre-season for Leicester? What fixtures did you have and were there any standout players?

FH – It was all quite negative to be honest with you. We played Villareall, Shrewsbury, Palermo,  Augsburg and Lens and we only managed to beat Villareall and Shrewsbury. It was really frustrating and did bring up plenty concerns for us fans. We really lacked quality especially up front. Stand-out players were Mavididi, Justin, and Hermansen.

TEB – Are you happy with the club’s summer transfer business? Were there any areas not strengthened that should have been?

FH – I think its decent but even Steve Cooper did admit we missed out on a number of our first choice targets, having to settle for second and third choice options.

TEB – Thoughts on Steve Cooper? Is he the man to take the club forward?

FH – I am behind him but I do not really like him too much. I do not believe that he is the long term option for the club but we must back him.

TEB – Expectations for this season?

FH – It has to be avoiding relegation which we will barely do I suspect.

TEB – If you could sign one current player from Palace, who would it be?

FH – It would be Adam Wharton. I think he Is one of the most underrated signings of last season and we could do with a player of his calibre in our starting line up.

TEB – Favourite away day in the Premier League?

FH – Anfield

TEB – Predictions for the game including final score?

FH – We all know Palace are the favourites for this one but I am hoping for a draw with both teams scoring, so 1-1.
