LAST TIME
The Eagles travelled down to the South Coast in February 2021 and returned after a real smash and grab performance. The visitors stunned the hosts by taking a shock lead through a wonderful back heel into the net by JP Mateta. The hosts equalised thanks to Joel Veltman shortly after the break but Palace stole the points with an injury time volley from Christian Benteke.

KEY CLASH
WILL HUGHES v ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER
The outcome of this fixture will very much depend on the midfield battle which will see Hughes, who has been impressive for Palace since coming into the side, looking to stop the influential Argentine making a mark on the game.

DID YOU KNOW?
The Seagulls were the only professional team in Sussex from 1920 to 2011 until Crawley Town were promoted to the Football League.
PREDICTION
Both teams will be missing players for this game for several reasons so the outcome is a little more difficult to predict. The hosts have the form going into the game but the visitors have it in this fixture of late. Palace will have that late equaliser they conceded in the reverse fixture on their minds which Brighton celebrated like they took all three points. Hopefully the Eagles can do something similar by the time the final whistle blows on Friday night but everything says this one is likely to end all square.
FINAL SCORE: 1-1
