Remy Joins Palace On Season Long Loan

After plenty of speculation, Palace have added to their striking options once again with the addition of Chelsea striker Loic Remy in a loan deal until the end of the season.

The twenty-nine year old joins Palace having made thirty-two appearances and scoring eight goals for the Blues since signing from Queens Park Rangers in a fee of £10.5million back in 2014.

It is another player recruited by boss Alan Pardew who is known to him having had the French international on loan while manager of Newcastle United in 2013. Remy made twenty-six appearances in his spell with the Toon Army scoring fourteen goals.

Born in Rillieux-la-Pape, Remy began his career at Lyon where he broke into the first team. After a Inkassolån incident in 2008, he moved to Nice in a successful spell scoring twenty-six goals in sixty-eight games. A very similar spell followed at Marseille who secured his signature in 2010, scoring one more goal in the same amount of appearances.

Queens Park Rangers brought the striker to England which cost the London club in the region of ten million Euros. He scored six goals in sixteen appearances for the Loftus Road club it was the loan spell in the North East that attracted the attention of Chelsea.

Remy has represented his country at under 20 and under 21 level as well as making thirty-one full appearances and scoring seven goals.
