New Contracts, New Kits and Pre-Season

The first in a series of articles from TEB across the summer as we review the news stories involving Palace from the last seven days. Have no fear though, we will not be touching the multitude of transfer rumours.

New Contracts For Academy Players

Congratulations to Ben Wynter and Ryan King-Elliot who signed their first professional contracts with the club while Oliver O’Dwyer has agreed a new contract. They join Luke Dreher, Corie Andrews, Michael Phillips, Aaron Bissaka and Andre Coker in the development squad who all signed professional deals during the season. For the under 18 squad, sixteen players have signed deals.

New Kits Available For Pre-Order

The new home and away kits for the 2016/17 season are now available to pre-order from the club shop. Much has been said about the Macron made kits since their release but the real proof will be when the players are seen wearing them.

Pre-Season Tour To USA And Canada

July sees the squad travel across the pond much to the delight of Eagles fans in the United States and Canada. The tour begins on the 13th with a game against Philadelphia Union who currently lead their conference in the MLS. Tickets are now on sale for this game which is to be followed by matches against Cincinnati Ohio on the 16th and Vancouver Whitecaps on the 19th.

Palace Fans Win REMF Charity Game

Former Palace players Shaun Derry and Andrew Johnson inspired the team of fans to fight back from two goals down to win 3-2 at the AMEX last Monday. Congratulations to all involved who helped raise over £20,000 for the charity in the annual event which is a terrific achievement.

Palace Watch At The Euros 

The Eagles have four representatives competing in France throughout the summer and we will be following their every move. We kick things off with a preview article later in the week with an in depth look at each player.

Eagles On Duty

Elsewhere around the world, Adrian Mariappa is in the Jamaica squad for the Copa America that is being held in USA. He captained the side to a friendly win over holders Chile ahead of the competition. Mile Jedinak starred in the Australia defeat to England but more than held his own in midfield. Emmanuel Adebayor is in the Togo squad for their African Cup Of Nations qualifiers while Pape Souare and Bakary Sako have featured for Senegal and Mali respectively.

Fixtures Announced

A date for your diary is the 15th June which is the day that the fixtures for the 2016/17 season are revealed at 9am. The new Premier League season kicks off on the 13th August.

Pre-Season For Under 21s

Gary Issott’s squad of players will get themselves ready for the new season with games against Beckenham Town (15/07), Sutton United (23/07), Dulwich Hamlet (26/07), Metropolitan Police (26/07) and Tooting & Mitcham (02/08).
