Palace’s Number One: A Short Speroni Testimonial Film

Berkshire based film-makers Cross and Sullivan, have produced a fantastic short film from footage taken from the Julian Speroni Testimonial.

Crystal Palace and Dundee battled it out on an early summer’s evening in front of a good crowd. Scottish side Dundee were the perfect opponents being the club that the Argentine goalkeeper joined back in 2001, his first in Britain. It seemed like the logical choice.

The scenes show all the pre-match build-up, before directing focus on the emotional scenes as fans and players unite to pay tribute to Julian Speroni, who played for Dundee at Dens Park from 2001 until his move to Palace in 2004. He soon became a legend in his own right at Selhurst Park over the ten years that followed.

Since the game, TEB have built a bond with Dundee fans particularly blogger Daniel Smith, who is a fan of the Dark Blues through thick and thin. His posts are available in the archive.
