With the first round of group games taken place, we have our first Predictions League report of the competition.
There were two results that no-one saw coming. The Spain trouncing by the Netherlands and the Costa Ricans handing out a loss to Uruguay. Elsewhere ony three correctly predicted the Italian win over England.
Leading the way after the first round is Five Year Place (68.75%) jointly with Palace Memes (68.75%) closely followed by EPL Roundtable (56.25%), Palace Radio (56.25%) and TEB (56.25%).
Palace Faithful 7-6 Oppo Fans
In the battle of the fans step forward Ritchie Pearce for the Palace Faithful and Stephen Brandt for the Oppo Fans.
It was an early lead for Ritchie after the Chile win over Australia but Stephen levelled with the Italy win over England. It was all to play for as it was all square with three games to go but with two correct predictions from them it was Ritchie that brought the Palace Faithful home for the win.
