The news all Palace fans were hoping and praying for since the Premier League season ended.
The club announced yesterday afternoon that Argentine shot stopper Julian Speroni has signed a one year deal to stay at Selhurst Park for his tenth and testamonial season. He also has the option of a second twelve months.
Many fans feared the worst as soon as talks looked to have prolonged but both sides seem to have come to an amicable deal which will is simply the cherry on top of the cake following a fantastic season.
The 35 year old former Dundee player made his 300th league appearance for the club in December 2013 against Newcastle United and ended up being named as the Player Of The Season at the awards night at the Fairfield Halls in May.
It is clear that our Jules considers Palace his home having opened his own restuarant in the Purley area.
He was in the form of his life last season, so much so that there were calls for him to be included in the Argentina squad for the World Cup. Unfortunately for him, it just was not to be.
