Player Of The Season – The Result

 

Last week we kicked off the voting for our Player Of The Season here.

The official Player Of The Season is announced on Awards Night held at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon on Tuesday evening. The new kits from new supplier Macron will also be revealed on the night.

We thank you all for taking the time to vote in the past week and we are now pleased to reveal the top three in reverse order.

 

  • In 3rd with 12% of the vote is is our no nonsense central defender Damien Delaney

 

  • In 2nd with 20% of the vote is our safe hands goalkeeper that is Julian Speroni

 

  • But the outright winner of the award this season with 46% of the vote is none other than full time full back and part time midfielder Joel Ward

 

Congratulations to Joel who becomes the second player to scoop the award after Mile Jedinak last season. He has been a crucial part of a team that has fought tooth and nail to achieve Premier league safety. Here are some statistics on our deserved winner:
