Crystal Palace have signed Welsh goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey on a 3-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee from Sky Bet League 1 club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 22-year-old could make his debut on Saturday 8th February, when the high flying Eagles play West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
Hennessey joins Palace as they mount their challenge to stay in the Premier League. An upturn in fortunes for the Eagles since Tony Pulis arrived in November 2013 has aided their league position to 14th, well above expectations. Crystal Palace beat many Premier League clubs to the signing.
The goalkeeper is a product of Wolves’ academy and made 154 appearances in 8 years at the club.
His recent history includes a loan spell at Championship club, Yeovil Town, which he made 13 appearances in the league at the start of the season.
