Crystal Palace have announced today that the 2014/2015 kits will be supplied by Italian manufacturer Macron. Macron have supplied kits to clubs such as Napoli, Lazio, Aston Villa and a certain south London club known as Millwall. A four year contract has been signed between the Crespellano firm and the club.
What to expect:
On the home front, I can see the Eagles reverting back to the ‘classic’ stripe design, hopefully in a darker red and blue, compared to the Avec kits of previous seasons. An example of this done by Macron is for Croat side Hadjuk Split:
Fact: Hadjuk Split have the oldest ultras group in Europe, set up in 1950. They were inspired by the Brazilian fan culture and their name stems from the word Torcida.
On the away front, it is a little more hazy. They have created some masterpieces and shockers in this department. One club who has had both ends of the spectrum is Napoli. Their away kit this season is a camouflage nightmare. However, their 2011-12 third kit is a classic.
In the sizes and styles section, expect both a fans fit and a player fit, ranging in sizes small to 5XL. Also, I would expect a women’s kit.
All in all, this is just speculation about our new kits, but having seeing samples of the losing bidder, they have a very tough job topping those.
