New Crystal Palace Kit Announced With New Supplier On Board

Macron, a prominent Italian sportswear brand, has signed a long-term agreement to become Crystal Palace’s new kit supplier. Macron produced Palace’s uniforms from 2014 to 2018 and is now returning to south London to replace Puma, whose contract with the Eagles expired this year.

The club’s fans have waited patiently, like motorsports fans waiting for the NASCAR quaker state 400 picks, for the unveiling of the new kit.

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham are among the teams that have already debuted their 2022/23 home kits. Fans of the Eagles will not have to wait too long.

Following the announcement of a new primary sponsor, club crest, and manufacturer before the big reveal, the club is expected to unveil everything in the coming weeks.

New Changes

Palace stated that it will alter its club crest to reflect the “undeniable fact” that it was founded in 1861.

The current Eagles emblem includes the founding year of Crystal Palace FC, 1905. However, the new emblem will indicate where the club believes it can officially trace its origins (1861). This is the only modification to the club crest, which will debut on Palace’s new kit for the upcoming season.

Palace claim to have been in existence since 1861. Author Peter Manning discovered a connection between a cricket and football club from 1861 and a team from 1905, both owned by the Crystal Palace Company, through five years of research.

Manufacturer

Palace has reestablished contact with Macron to produce their new kits, travel attire, workout attire, and other items. The Italian company recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, and according to UEFA rankings, it is now the third-largest football technical brand.

When Palace previously collaborated with Macron, they produced kits such as the bright yellow away jersey in 2014/15 and the traditional striped home kit in 2015/16, which the club wore in the FA Cup Final at Wembley.

Barry Webster, the commercial director for Crystal Palace, remarked, “Macron is an ambitious sports brand renowned for its innovative materials and style. We are excited to be working with them again because we had a great working relationship with them in the past. We look forward to unveiling the new jerseys to the fans in the coming weeks.”

Sponsor

Next season, Palace will also have a new sponsor on their shirts. In a multi-year agreement, the online automobile marketplace Cinch will replace W88.

After working with Mansion.com (2015–17), ManBetX (2017–20), and W88 (2020–22), Palace will, for the first time in seven years, not prominently feature a gambling company on their kits. This means that young club supporters will not be permitted to wear replica kits.

But thanks to a partnership with Cinch and the UK government’s anticipated ban on betting sponsors in football, children will be able to wear the same uniforms as many of their heroes on the field.

Additionally, Cinch’s logo will appear on training gear, at Selhurst Park, in the club’s Academy teams, and on digital channels.

Webber stated, “Cinch is a well-known, family-friendly brand that is well-known throughout the UK and beyond.” “It is an exciting time for us to begin collaborating. We’re entering our tenth season in the Premier League with a team of talented players worldwide. Cinch is still expanding and developing innovative ideas for the automobile market. We are eager to collaborate to achieve our shared objectives.”

Badge

Last but not least, the 2022–23 Palace kits will feature a brand-new crest. The club announced last week that they would be slightly modifying their crest to reflect that the club’s history now dates back to 1861 instead of 1905, which was previously displayed on the crest.

According to historian Peter Manning, the first team was founded in 1861 by Crystal Palace club cricket players. The professional team from 1905 was associated with the first team because Crystal Palace owned it.

Chairman Steve Parish stated, “As a lifelong fan of Crystal Palace, I was proud to learn that our history dates back to the Victorian cricketers of 1861 and that the club was instrumental in the very first FA meetings, which shaped the game we all adore. It is fitting that our dist inctive history, which began in 1861, is depicted on our well-known crest.”
