Gallagher Leads The Way For Palace In Fantasy Premier League

Have you registered for this season’s Fantasy Premier League? Of course you have. Over 7 million players have signed up to try their luck and see if they can come out on top next May. How many of those are  Palace fans like you?

Under Patrick Vieira, The Eagles will be hoping to build on their recent win over Spurs at Selhurst Park – a game where Wilfried Zaha and new-boy Odsonne Edouard really shone. Even if Edouard was only on the field for about six minutes of play!

High Flying Eagles in the FPL

Palace’s best FPL player in the early stages of this season has been Conor Gallagher. The midfielder already chipped in with two goals and two assists in his first three starts for Palace. Signed on loan from Chelsea for a year, Gallagher, 21, will be hoping to make a name for himself in the coming months. He has certainly made a brilliant start.

Palace’s other top FPL performers so far have been Wilfried Zaha and goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.

Zaha is always one of the best Palace players to have in fantasy football. He has been a consistent performer over the years and, at 28, is theoretically within the prime years of his football career now. Zaha struggled along with his team in their opening fixtures but he did nab a goal and an assist in the 3-0 victory against Spurs.

Veteran goalkeeper Guaita has been at Selhurst Park since 2018 where he is now firmly established as the club’s first-choice stopper. He has two clean sheets from four starts so far for Palace in 2021/22 with 9 saves and two bonus points also to his name. At the time of writing, Guaita costs 4.5 million in FPL and is selected by 6.2% of teams.

What about the new signing from Celtic, though?! Odsonne Edouard came off the bench for the final six minutes against Spurs and managed to get two goals for himself. What a start to his Palace career and it certainly bodes well for potential FPL greatness this season too!

Predicting the Palace Lineup

As an FPL manager, you simply must check the latest predicted starting lineups for the Premier League gameweek on a reliable website to see how each team, including Crystal Palace, could line up. You will also be able to view some fixture analysis, and probability ratings for outcomes such as a Crystal Palace win, chances of keeping a clean sheet, or over 2.5 goals in a game.

Don’t let all these statistics intimidate you either. It’s like anything new, spend a little time learning about what different data means and you will be able to use it to your great benefit in no time at all.

The predicted lineups section of FPL sites is pretty self-explanatory. Based on some football know-how, injury news, and suspensions, the likely starting elevens are listed. They are vital pages to check ahead of each gameweek deadline. There’s so much to consider in FPL, after all. It would be a huge pity to screw up your points for a round just because you did not hear one of your main players got injured in training!

As always, you can only have a maximum of three players from any one club in your FPL selections. If you do opt to use the most Crystal Palace players you can, it’s got to be Gallagher, Zaha, and Edouard for now, doesn’t it? A couple of other decent options would be Vicente Guaita and Cheikhou Kouyaté.
