TEB Team Up With FYP To Sponsor Palace Ladies

As most who follow TEB will know, we have been avid supporters of the Palace Ladies for a number of seasons and for the new campaign we have continued that with a regular diary entry from captain Freya Holdaway.

However, this season we have stepped that support up a gear and put our money where our mouth is and teamed up with our pals at Five Year Plan to sponsor Jade Keogh and Kallie Balfour.

Even though Wilf has stoken our thunder a little with his amazing donation to the Palace Ladies, we are exceptionally proud to be able to continue our support of the club in this way and together with our pals at FYP, we strengthen our bond with a very important part of the football club as a whole.

We are looking forward to seeing Jade, Kallie and their team-mates performing at the highest ever level for the club this season but what do we know about them? Well, plenty surprisingly enough…

  • Central midfielder
  • Started career at Beacons FC before joining Charlton Athletic
  • Moved to Gillingham, became captain in 2016/17
  • Won promotion twice with the Gills
  • Won the FA Futsal Cup and FA Futsal National League with her Futsal team
  • Graduated from University in 2017 with an Economics degree
  • Work as a tax advisor for a large professional services company
  • Favourite television show – Power or Real Housewives of Atlanta
  • Favourite food – lamb curry or roast dinner

Talking exclusively to TEB, Jade told us;

“I am very fortunate to be able to play for a club that has the support and ambition that Palace has. I want to be able to push on not only for my own football career but also be there to help push this club to reach the heights and achieve things that have never been achieved before.”

  • Striker
  • Game mainly based on pace, loves running at players and having the call in behind
  • First season at Palace Ladies, signed from Gillingham
  • Favourite television show – Power
  • Favourite food – Nan’s roast dinners!
  • Favourite quote – Success is not final; failure is not fatal… It is the courage to continue that counts

Many will have seen press reports this week around the Palace Ladies struggling to raise funds and forcing players to seek their own sponsorship. TEB were reliably informed at the time that it was ‘nonsense’ and full of ‘untruths’ which has been backed up by the club coming out with a statement about funding.

You can read the thoughts of Freya regularly on TEB this season as each game passes but if you would like to sponsor the Palace Ladies just like we have, there are plenty of different packages available – full details can be found in our recent article right HERE.
