There are a number of players that have remained at their club for what seems like an age.
The list of loyal players below is like a who’s who in the game that we love, but will we see the likes of Paulo Maldini or Fancesco Totti again? It is extremely unlikely with the way the game has become more and more fickle, thanks for the most part to the influx of money that flooded the sport.
But what we want to know is what is you Palace Loyal XI line up? What do you class as loyalty other than a player being a one club man? There is no doubt that the likes of Jim Cannon, Terry Long, Albert Harry and Julian Speroni more than qualify. How about Dougie Freedman and Clinton Morrison who had two spells with the club? Perhaps Steve Kember gets the nod who also had two spells playing for the club but also in coaching and managerial capacities?
