In the build-up to the play off final at Wembley earlier this year we encouraged fans to paint the national stadium red and blue as we have done on past appearances at the iconic venue.
This started some great interaction with the good people at Signature Balloons (@Sig_Balloons) that are based in Southampton. They saw our tweet encouraging Palace fans to fill Wembley with balloons and agreed to put a package together on their site for fans wanting to buy just red and blue balloons.
As we know, the rest is history, but we still keep in touch with them. They have even started to promote balloons for every Premier League club in build up to the 2013/14 season. And we are proud to be involved in their blog post (link below) all about the our big day in May which also includes a few pictures from Palace fans that were tweeted to them.
We will not be encouraging another balloon fest at Selhurst for the opening game of the season against Spurs so as not to effect the plans that the Homesdale Fanatics have. But I am sure that there will be plenty of other opportunities this season to fill Selhurst with red and blue balloons.
