Grass Roots

In our second full season for this feature we followed the fortunes of Croydon Football Club.

The Trams from the Croydon Arena had a tough season in the Southern Counties East Football League (SCEFL) and narrowly avoided relegation.

Thankfully, survival was secured with time to spare finishing 18th out of a league of twenty teams. Both Erith Town and Rochester United were the two teams that finished below them.

Next season they will face a local rivalry in the division as AFC Croydon have been promoted to the SCEFL along with Hollands & Blair.

Croydon

We thank the Trams for their regular communication and interaction in our time covering and promoting them this season and wish them the very best for the future. We will of course keep a close eye on their progress and continue to encourage fans to stop by the Croydon Arena to support them.

As we bid a fond farewell to Croydon, we are very pleased to announce that next season we will be lending our support to Bromley Football Club.

The club from Bromley Arena are the wonderful hosts for our Palace Ladies. They had a fantastic season ending up as Vanarama Conference South champions. It means that they will be plying their trade in the Vanarama Conference for the 2015/16 season against the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Grimsby Town and Torquay United.

We are very much looking forward to promoting Bromley at every opportunity next season to see how they fare one tier below league football.
