Having recommended Germany to win the World Cup at 11/4 in the last edition of TEP, you have to be feeling good about the value of that bet now as they face a tired Argentina side who looked organised but average against the Netherlands.
There are enough previews of the game so you do not really want to hear another one! So I’ll give my selections with a brief explanation to each!
Germany (-1) @ 4/1 Betfred
Thomas Muller to score at anytime and Germany to win @ 10/3 Ladbrokes
Germany to win 3-1 @ 25/1 BetVictor
Muller/3-1 Germany scorecast – 80/1 BetVictor
Easy enough explanation. I think Germany are going to win pretty comfortably, they are a well drilled machine who have looked better with every game.
Argentina may have tired from their exploits in recent games and Germany have had an extra day of rest alongside only really having to play a hard half an hour or so against Brazil.
It has been reported that the father of Lionel Messi has said he is tiring and it would not be a surprise if that was true, but that is dangerous for Argentina as Aguero, Lavezzi and Higuain (barring one game) have not shown anything to suggest that they will take the pressure off Messi.
Muller is the obvious choice to play up front for Germany and I think they look a more threatening team when he moves up top with Gotze just behind. Klose can be used as the impact sub should they need it. It will be interesting to see which way Joachim Low goes with the team, but the Germans will want to try and fire Argentina out of sight within the first twenety minutes.
