As we finally arrive at the World Cup, The Eagles Punt returns with special editions throughout the competition. Hopefully the profit that was sustained throughout the league season can be maintained through the World Cup.

A riskier treble here with three bigger odds teams involved. Spain are my fancy for the tournament from Europe and they have a difficult game against the Netherlands who are not of the standard of the team of 2010 that ended as runners up.
Columbia are another one of the teams from South America who should adapt to the conditions early and they have in form Jackson Martinez up front. Russia should be too strong for the South Koreans as this is a game they have to win if they are to progress from the group.

If Portugal are to score against a Germany team that I feel may struggle to play their pressing game in the Brazil heat, it will likely come through the one man team that is Cristiano Ronaldo. The 17/10 on offer is ridiculous when in nearly every Real Madrid game last season, Ronaldo was odds on.
Jackson Martinez was top goalscorer in the Portuguese League last season and has an easier matchup against Greece. As mentioned, Columbia are a talented team who should score goals against one of the weaker European teams.
