It is time to check in on the non-league team that we are lending our support to this season, Dulwich Hamlet.
When we looked back over their September fixtures, the Hamlet were slowly improving and up to sixth place in the Ryman Premier League. How did the side from Champion Hill fare in October? Let’s find out …
The month kicked off with a home draw against Enfield Town. The visitors opened the scoring in the second minute but Daniel Carr equalised just after the half hour. Ashley Carew successfully converted a penalty just after the hour mark only for Enfield to score one of their own in the final ten minutes of the game.
Next up, it was a long but very worthwhile midweek trip to the East Anglian coast to face Lowestoft Town in a game that ended 3-0 to Dulwich courtesy of a brace from Nyren Clunis, his second in the final minute, and another from Carr.
In form Bognor Regis Town were the next to visit Champion Hill and they continued their good run with a 3-1 win. They started as they meant to go on by taking the lead in the eighteenth minute only for former Palace youngster Ibra Sekajja to level things up. The game did not stay level for long though as Bognor scored from the penalty spot on the half hour mark and sealed the three points with a third in the last minute.
A trip to Leatherhead followed and it was Sekajja and Carr on the score sheet once again for Hamlet but that was only after the hosts had raced into a two goal lead after just twenty-three minutes. The visitors left it late though as Carr followed up a stinging twenty yard free kick from Carew to score after the Leatherhead goalkeeper failed to hold onto the ball.
A return to Champion Hill for two league home games. The first was a 3-1 win against Harlow Town courtesy of goals from Sekajja, Carew and Clunis long before a late consolation. That was followed up by an excellent 2-0 win over AFC Sudbury thanks to goals from Dumebi Dumaka and Gavin Tomlin.
That was all the action from the league for the month which left two cup competitions to compete in. The first was a trip to Greenwich Borough in the Alan Turvey Trophy which Hamlet won 2-1 thanks mostly to two early goals from Roman Michael-Percil and Carr. A goal for the hosts ten minutes from time ensured a frenetic finish but Dulwich held on to reach the last sixteen where they take on Faversham.
For the second time in the month, Hamlet made their way to Lowestoft Town but enjoyed success once again with a 2-1 win in the FA Trophy. Vas Karagiannis scored the opener but the hosts found an equaliser with little over twenty minutes left to play. Up stepped Carr once again to score what proved to be the winner in the seventy-eighth minute to see Dulwich through to the next round to face Chesham United.

We hooked up with the guys at Jacamo last month who kindly sent us some items to review. We have to say that the team at TEB HQ were very impressed with both the quality and style of the clothing as well as the excellent range that is currently available. Make sure you head on over to their official site to browse what they have on offer and do yourself a favour and make an order with them. Tell Jacamo that TEB sent you!
