The crazy season of the Premier League continues as Chelsea manage to grab a win and Palace lose at home to Sunderland. Whatever next?
In all seriousness, this is a division that anyone can beat anyone, and most probably will. Except poor old Villa who are firmly rooted to the bottom of of the Premier League after a good old thrashing at Goodison Park. I say that as Dan, our usual writer of this feature, will never give them any sentiment so for one week only, I am making up for that.
With what seems to be a general consensus that Chelsea will not make the top four this season, there is most probably a place up for grabs for someone, but who could that be? Leicester City continue to be making more of a fist of it than most ever gave them credit for but they will have a bad time at some stage this season, won’t they?
The in form Spurs look current favourites to take that ‘spare‘ spot after an impressive demolition of West Ham while the inconsistent Liverpool disposed of previous table toppers Manchester City at the Etihad. Sitting in second at the moment rather ominously is Manchester United who, as many lead us to beleive, are not playing that well this season. Goodness knows what they could be capable of when they do finally turn it on then!
In what would normally be the result of the week, but scores elsewhere eclipsed it a little this past weekend, was the win for the Baggies at home to Arsenal. Yes, there would have been a lot more about it if Dan had been around so normal service will be resumed next week …
