Strong Bromley Links Continue

Our Grass Roots feature continues this season to feature Bromley Football Club. Club secretary Jeff Hutton tells us the support the club are giving our Palace Ladies and the continued close ties with Crystal Palace.

We were delighted to welcome Crystal Palace Ladies back to Bromley Football Club on Wednesday.

As it was the Eagles opening fixture at Hayes Lane and we wanted to see as many Crystal Palace fans as possible get behind their women’s team we helped by offering FREE admission. We had a fantastic response too with well over 200 supporters witnessing a terrific 5-0 win over Gillingham.

As I am sure those supporters who have been to Bromley before will confirm, we are a friendly and welcoming bunch and have the fantastic Ravens Bar for you all to enjoy refreshments from before and after games.

We had a excellent opening year to our relationship with Crystal Palace Ladies last season. When Richard Spokes, the Crystal Palace Ladies Chairman, confirmed to us the ladies would not only continue to play and train at Bromley but would also be moving the majority of the teams younger sides over to our new 3G training facility, it was clear that we were at the beginning of a long lasting partnership. Something that would not only help develop the growth of the Crystal Palace Ladies set up but would also strengthen the already strong connection between Bromley Football Club and Crystal Palace.

Another part of that relationship includes the reduced admission to Bromley first team fixtures. Our promotion to the Vanarama National League last season was a fantastic achievement and as we face big challenges on the field this season it would be great to see as many Crystal Palace supporters popping down to Hayes Lane to sample some of our football while your side play away from home, on a Sunday or Monday.

With this in mind we would also like to extend a warm invitation to our Vanarama National League fixture at Hayes Lane this Saturday 5th September 2015 against Gateshead. Crystal Palace adult season ticket holders get in for £10 on the day (usual adult admission £15). Full details on admission prices can be found here.

We once again host the Palace Ladies this Sunday at Hayes Lane as they take on MK Dons in what is a big game even at this early stage of the season. Kick off is 2pm.

We wish everyone at Crystal Palace the best of luck for the season and are delighted to be playing host to the Palace Ladies for many years to come.
