As always, we start with a look back at last week, and for the first time, there is nothing positive to report!
With Palace losing 0-2, it lost every bet possible and Brentford’s big defeat at Colchester put paid to the ‘Risky Treble’.
The next visitors to Selhurst are title chasing Liverpool. Our Scouse opposition have made their trip to the title a lot more difficult with their loss to Chelsea last week. They come to Selhurst in a game that their fans have been fearing. Liverpool do not have a Yaya Toure type player who will run the midfield by himself allowing the front four to get forward.
Whether it is enough to secure a result for Palace remains to be seen, but with a loud atmosphere expected at Selhurst, here are the bets to look out for;
- Crystal Palace not to lose (CP or Draw – Double Chance) – 9/4 MarathonBet – Man City’s away form has been sketchy throughout the year, Palace have been very good at home, and have made teams suffer at times, being the second best form team in the division, Palace really shouldn’t lose in a game where the pressure is off.
- Palace to score over 1.5 goals – 4/1 BetInternet – Liverpool haven’t got a great defence. Palace don’t score many goals but should cause trouble on the counter attack if Liverpool over pursue.
- Liverpool to be leading after 10 minutes – 9/2 Bet365 – Early goal conceded last week and this has been Liverpool’s specialty all season. Get off to a fast start and make the opposition chase the game.
Obscure value red and blue tinted bets;
- Jason Puncheon to score anytime – 5/1 Bet365 – Big odds for Palace’s top goalscorer. He should have some success against Flanagan and he only needs one good chance to score.
- Scott Dann to score anytime – 18/1 Bet365 – Liverpool are susceptible to set pieces and Dann is an excellent header of the ball. The set piece delivery was poor against Man City, so you can guarantee that Pulis has drummed it into their heads this week.
Banker treble: Leicester, Watford and Brentford to win pays 3.78/1
