The Eagles Punt – Tips for 18th/19th April

Disclaimer: Gambling is for over 18’s (says the 23 year old who has been gambling for about 16-17 years), and only bet money that you can afford to lose.

An update from last Saturday, with two winners from the football bets garnering a £1.30 profit if £1 was placed on each selection, it’s another profitable week, especially with the Palace horse tip coming in as well (as well as the Palace horse double that was tipped via Twitter on the Saturday morning).

After the excellent Everton result, a £3.35 profit (if £1 was placed on each selection) means that ‘The Eagles Punt‘ has been in profit for the last three games.

It feels like I am repeating myself, but Jason Puncheon again paid the money with his to score anytime (6/1) bet coming in early in the first half. With Palace keeping it tight until half time, the Palace to keep a 1st half clean sheet (27/20) also came in, despite Everton having a strong 2nd half performance

The West Ham game is one that an in-form Palace team should win, which means we will probably lose! But this is a different team and a chance to make ourselves safe and (Vincent Tan/FA allowing), a quiet, calm end to the season for once!

  • Palace to win – 5/2 – BetVictor – I think West Ham are less of a threat than most attacks we have faced recently, and of all the defenders we have, Scott Dann seems to be the one who can deal with Andy Carroll the best.
  • Palace to keep a clean sheet – 5/2 – Paddy Power – As mentioned, if the ‘Double D‘ centre back combination can keep Carroll quiet, I don’t think West Ham will be able to breach what has been an impenetrable defence at times this season.
  • Palace to score 2+ goals – 9/4 – Skybet – After scoring six in our last two away games (equalling the total of the previous fifteen!), the front three are firing on all cylinders, and the passing moves put together against a team as good as Everton were a joy to watch.

Obscure value red and blue tinted bets:

  • Jason Puncheon to score anytime and Palace to win – 17/2 BWin – Puncheon can do no wrong at the moment. He is taking every chance he gets and has a finishing ability second to none in the squad.
  • Yannick Bolasie to score at anytime – 8/1 – 888Sport – Would there be a more popular goalscorer? Yala is getting closer with every game. A likeable player with a smile on his face, I hope he can nick a goal before the end of the season.

Friday safe treble: Blackburn, Burnley and Bournemouth pays 5.16/1 – BetVictor

Saturday risky double: Stoke and Southampton pays 5.98/1 – BetVictor

Random Horse Racing Tip for Saturday: Kempton 3.30 – Sea Shanty
