Latest News from SP

Fixture change

Firstly, the Huddersfield Town away match has been rescheduled for Wednesday 30th January 2013, kick off 7.45pm. The match was due to take place this weekend but Town are involved in teh FA Cup fourth round. Reduced ticket prices are now available from the box office with teh usual travel arrangements arranged.

Before I move on to the big news it is about time we welcomed the Jacob Butterfield (Norwich)and Alex Nimely (Man City) to Selhurst. Butterfield joins us for a months loan while Nimely is until the end of the season. Both join Palace on loan. Meanwhile, Ross Fitzsimmons has joined Harrow Borough on loan for a month and Ibra Sekajja has joined Barnet for the same period.

While we have been linked to several players while the transfer window clock ticks away we hold our breaths and wait to hear what is happening with Wilf Zaha. The latest is that we are in talks with Man United for a fee of £10 million initially and £5 million at a later date based on appearances etc. It is planned that he will remain at SP for the remained of the season, but this deal has yet to be confirmed by either party.
