Charity Event In Aid Of The Study Centre

Former TEB contributor Paul Price has been busy organising what promises to be a fantastic charity event on Saturday 9th July all in aid of the Crystal Palace Study Centre.

The event dubbed ‘Up The Junction’ is being held at The Cherry Trees pub in South Norwood and the fun kicks off at 3pm with plenty of fun for all the family.

Food will be available from the barbeque and there will be plenty of games and activities for children throughout the afternoon along with a raffle and auction that will include some signed Palace merchandise.

The event continues through to the evening with a DJ hosting what is expected to be a party atmosphere until late. Plans are in place to have a special guest or two but further details will be revealed nearer the time.

While everyone invited to have a good time, it is predominantly an event put together to raise funds for the Crystal Palace Study Centre as well as a to meet up with friends, celebrate the 2015/16 Premier League season and to look forward to a fourth consecutive campaign in the top flight of English football.

The Study Centre at Crystal Palace (charity number 1149461) is an exciting and stimulating learning and teaching zone, which offers a wide range of programmes to learners from all age groups.  The main purpose is to listen to the needs of learners, enhance key skills and help promote and maintain enthusiasm for life long learning. They pride themselves in creating inspirational and motivational Individualised Learning Programmes for everyone, which helps raise attainment levels in Literacy, Numeracy and IT.

The event at The Cherry Trees will understandably have an underlying Crystal Palace theme but it is meant to be a community event for all, particularly during the day so it is an open invitation to anyone that would like to attend.
